The Policy and Finance Committee has the role of developing the policies by which the day-to-day activities of the Parish Council is run. It also as the name suggests, oversees the expenditure of the Council.
Other committees of the council are granted delegated powers to develop projects and present them costed, to the Full Council. When projects are accepted by the Council the committee to which they belong undertakes the work to complete them. The payments for project work and financial audit are controlled by the Policy and Finance Committee, and updates presented to Full Council meetings.
Occasionally, other projects made be determined to benefit the community, which do not naturally fall under a specific committee, and these then could be directed by the Policy and Finance committee.
The Parish Council has opportunities to provide services that the Borough Council either have reduced or removed.
