Communications
Committee
The communications committee is responsible for telling people what we are doing and listening to their views. The committee looks at all the different ways that we share what we are doing and identifies ways for residents to tell us what they think. For example, the communications committee decides what goes on the website, when we might send leaflets, what is put in our posts in GoLocal.
The committee is where we work to engage residents, businesses, and community groups to work with us to find ways in which we can make the district a better place to live and work. It is where we see how we can shine a light on what is great about our community, where we can support people to take part in community activity, and where we reach out for your views so that we can better represent you.

The committee includes those from across the council and it works to make sure we keep residents up to date with all major issues that have an impact on the district. Communication is dialogue, it is as much about facilitating and encouraging feedback and ideas as it is about broadcasting what we and others are doing. As a committee, we are working hard to develop partnerships and open dialogue with businesses, community groups and residents for the benefit of all.
